Long Beach Blues Festival

So this weekend I went to the 23rd Annual Long Beach Blues Festival, and among other things, brought my Holga. I'd loaded it with color, ISO 800 film, which I hadn't shot on the Holga before. One tricky thing I hadn't counted on -- the shortness of the lens causing a lot more to be in the picture than I would have anticipated. For these shots, I had to hold the camera over my head to get as close as I could and avoid the 6' high chain link fence in that kept the real photographers from the rest of us. Nonetheless, a couple of mildly interesting shots out of the two rolls...

Roy Gaines

Ike Turner

Dr. John

Jeff Healey

When I get my 14 rolls of APS processed & scanned, I'll add them to the photo site. I'm thinking about breaking them up by artist, as I averaged one roll per band, rather than 350+ pictures in one shoot.

I may also take the time to be more conservative with my editing, and only show the particularly good shots. What a concept.
