Ofoto

I got a handful of my pictures printed by Ofoto and they came out pretty nice. There are issues with a few of the images -- between film grain of my APS film and the resolution my negs were scanned at differing depending on where they were processed. But overall, I'm pleased with the results. I was able to turn my digital files back into 8x10 glossy prints for fairly cheap.

I have been starting to suffer the limitations of APS as my chosen format lately. I shot three rolls at a Bill Mumy concert last weekend, and I'm not too thrilled with how they came out. The club in question is where I shot my first Vinx session. There's very little light, and the lights they do have cast a yellow shade on everything. I shot 2 rolls black & white which I had to underexpose for speed, so they lost contrast, and one roll of ISO 800 color which came out too yellow/orange. I ended up adjusting the levels in PhotoShop before converting the color to greyscale, and there are a couple of usable shots that way. But it had me in a funk that I was so limited.
